Sackville grew quickly from the 1970s on and is now one of the main family communities in HRM. Highways 101 and 102 are close by, and downtown Halifax is roughly 20 minutes away outside rush hour.
Lower Sackville has most of the shopping and services along Sackville Drive, plus the Cobequid Community Health Centre and the Sackville Sports Stadium. Middle and Upper Sackville have larger lots and a more rural feel. First Lake and Sackville Lakes Provincial Park are popular spots for a walk.
